Manisha has been selected to receive $5,000 educational seed funding from the IEEE Magnetics Society. The funding is for a collaborative project with Louise Colfer/Dr. Lynette Keeney from Tyndall National Institute (Ireland).

T Maity invited Dr. Samaresh Das from IIT Delhi to give a talk on his research on 'Nanowire for Optoelectronic Device Applications' as part of SoP Symposium.

We welcome our new member Manisha Bansal, another new PhD student in our group. Manisha completed her MSc from IIT Guwahati and BSc from the University of Delhi prior to joining IISER TVM.

We welcome our new member Jayaraj Prasanna who will be working with us on thin film magnetism. He is a PhD student at Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM), Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.

Tuhin gave a invited talk in his previous group in Cambridge on 'Nanoengineering room temperature ferroelectricity by VAN'. It was nice to meet old friends online during this pandemic.
